At the end of each school year, follow these steps:
- Run the overdue report. Export the full list of overdue books and follow up with students.
- Process all remaining returns. Make sure all books are returned before students leave.
- Handle outstanding fines. Decide on your school's policy for graduating students with unpaid fines (pay, waive, or carry forward).
- Run clearance checks. Verify all graduating students have library clearance.
- Generate DepEd reports. Export the SLR, circulation, and collection reports for the year.
- Do stocktaking. Run a physical inventory check to find missing or misplaced books.
- Create the new school year. Set up next year's school year in the system.
- Set up next year's budget. Allocate the new budget.
- Sync incoming students. Ask the registrar to sync new enrollees from the Student Information System.
- Review borrowing rules. Adjust loan periods, limits, and fine rates if needed for the new year.
