Why Write a Review?
Book reviews help your fellow students and teachers discover great reads. When you write a review, it can appear on the book's catalog page so others can benefit from your opinion before they decide to borrow it.
Writing a Review
You can write a review from a book's catalog detail page:
- Find the book using Browse Catalog or AI Search.
- Open the book's detail page by clicking its title.
- Scroll down to the Reviews section.
- Click Write a Review.
- Fill in your review:
- Rating — select a star rating (1 to 5 stars).
- Review — write your thoughts about the book. Be honest and constructive.
- Click Submit Review.
Viewing All Your Reviews
To see all the reviews you have written:
- In the sidebar, go to My Account → My Reviews (or navigate to
/patron/reviews). - All your submitted reviews are listed with the book title, your rating, and the date you wrote the review.
Editing a Review
- Go to My Reviews (
/patron/reviews). - Find the review you want to change.
- Click Edit.
- Update the rating or text.
- Click Save.
Deleting a Review
- Go to My Reviews (
/patron/reviews). - Find the review you want to remove.
- Click Delete.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted. The review is permanently removed.
What You'll See
Your submitted reviews show a star rating, the review text, the book it applies to, and the date it was written.
Tips
- You can only review books — you do not need to have borrowed the book to leave a review, but your feedback is most useful when it comes from actual reading experience.
- Keep reviews respectful and relevant to the book's content.
