What Are Favorites?
Your Favorites list is a personal collection of books you want to remember, save for later, or revisit easily. Unlike a hold, adding a book to Favorites does not reserve it — it just saves it to your personal list.
Adding a Book to Favorites
You can add a book to your Favorites from anywhere in the catalog:
- Search for a book using Browse Catalog or AI Search.
- Open the book's detail page by clicking on its title.
- Click the Add to Favorites button (it may appear as a heart icon ♡).
- The button changes to confirm the book has been saved.
Viewing Your Favorites
- In the sidebar, go to My Library → Favorites (or navigate to
/patron/favorites). - Your saved books appear as a list or grid.
- Each entry shows the cover image, title, author, and current availability status.
Removing a Book from Favorites
- Go to your Favorites page.
- Find the book you want to remove.
- Click the Remove button (or click the heart icon again to unmark it).
- The book is removed from your list immediately.
What You'll See
A list of all your favorited books. If a book you saved is now available, you can click through to its detail page to borrow it or place a hold.
Tips
- Use Favorites to build a reading wish list for books that are currently checked out.
- If a book you favorited becomes available, you will not automatically be notified — place a Hold if you want to be notified and have it set aside for you.
- Favorites are private — only you can see your list.
