Renewing a Book for a Student

If a student or teacher needs to keep a book longer, you can renew it.
- Click Borrow Books in the sidebar menu.
- Search for the member (student or teacher) and select them.
- You will see their current loans listed in a table.
- Find the book they want to renew and click the Renew button next to it.
- The system checks if the renewal is allowed (they haven't reached the maximum number of renewals, usually 2).
- If allowed, a new due date is calculated and shown in a success message.
What you'll see: A message confirming the new due date.
If something goes wrong:
- "Renewal limit exceeded" -- The book has already been renewed the maximum number of times (usually 2). The student needs to return it and check it out again if available.
- "Patron is blocked" -- The student has overdue books or unpaid fines. These must be resolved before renewing.
